Denim Day – 2022
–
Denim Day: When millions of people across the world intentionally wear jeans for a purpose. To support survivors of sexual violence as a collective and to further educate themselves about sexual harassment and other forms of gender-based violence.
The Island of Hawai’i YMCA’s Family Visitation Center plays an active role throughout our island community, supporting survivors who have experienced sexual violence, gender-based and intimate partner abuse. Our services include conducting Danger Assessments, Supervised Visitation, Safe Exchanges and serve as a community referral resource.
We ask that on April 27th, you throw on your favorite pair of jeans and come join us, at the YMCA to show, as a collective community, our continued commitment to stop rape and all forms of sexual violence. A brief presentation, photo opportunity and a light to-go lunch to follow.
