Lahainaluna Hula Class Merrie Monarch Fundraiser

Aloha YMCA members!

It’s our turn to kokua! We have an opportunity to make a positive impact on 15 students (ages 15 – 18) from Maui Lahainaluna High School’s hula class that were adversely affected by the fires and displaced from their homes.

The YMCA will be hosting this group during the week of Merrie Monarch at our campus. Our friends from Maui will call the YMCA’s multi-purpose-room “home” during their stay from April 3-7, 2024. They will sleep in the MPR, use our showers, and be fed meals from our certified kitchen. Students will do 2 public hula performances, be recognized at the festival and be our guests in the Merrie Monarch Royal Parade.

Donations for this fundraiser are now complete, mahalo to all who donated to help us host the Lahainaluna hula class! The YMCA is a better place because of who YOU are. Thank you for your commitment to a healthy & active lifestyle and for strengthening our community! We appreciate YOU!
